Azerbaijan's population stood at 9,574,300 as of Nov. 1 last year, the country's state statistical committee said.
Population density was 111 people per square km with female-to-male ratio at 1,011:1,000, Trend news agency reported.
Official figures said 53.2 percent of the population live in towns and 46.8 percent in villages.
Around 142,600 children were born from January to November last year. Of them, 53.6 percent were boys and 46.4 percent were girls.
