EdvardNalbandyan of Armenia said his country is seeking progress in talks.
“Naturally,it is important for both sides to have the desire to resolve the conflict,” hesaid, according to Armenia Today news website.
The Azeriand Armenian presidents, Ilham Aliyev and Serzh Sargsyan, met in Vienna lastmonth for the first time in almost two years.
Armeniacaptured nearly 20 percent of Azerbaijan’s internationally-recognizedterritory, including Nagorno-Karabakh and seven surrounding districts, in a warafter the Soviet Union’s collapse in 1991.
Nearly20,000 Azeris were killed and a million displaced before Russia brokered aceasefire in May 1994. The sides have yet to sign a peace agreement despite 20years of talks mediated by Russia, France and the United States.
