Azerbaijan intends to explore new opportunities for cooperation with Iran during the current visit by Azerbaijan’s Economy and Industry Minister Shahin Mustafayev to Tehran, IRNA reported.

Mustafayev is being accompanied by a delegation of officials from the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic’s Supreme Assembly, the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR), as well as the ministries of foreign affairs, transport and emergencies and Azerenerji JSC.

The parties involved plan to review the implementation of the agreements that were reached at the 9th session of the Azerbaijan-Iran Inter-governmental Commission on Economic, Trade and Cultural Cooperation.

The sides will also go over preparations for a planned official visit to Azerbaijan by President Rouhani.
