Armenia is not going to change its position on theNagorno-Karabakh conflict unless it is faced serious international pressure andsanctions, said Asim Mollazade, leader of the Democratic Reforms Party and amember of parliament.
“Armenia has broken all norms of international law. It is notcomplying with resolutions passed by international organizations,” Mollazade said, commenting on the results of the Sochi meeting of the Azerbaijaniand Armenian presidents.
“This situation threatens regional stability,” Mollazade said.
Armenia captured Azerbaijan’s Nagorno-Karabakh region and sevensurrounding districts in a war after the Soviet breakup in 1991.
The country has yet to comply with four UN Security resolutionsdemanding immediate and unconditional withdrawal from the occupied territory.
