Azerbaijani pilots flew F-16 fighter jets for the first time during joint drills with the Turkish Air Force.
The drills to continue until October 3 aim to “carry out the task of planning joint activities of the two countries’ air forces, to explore the possibilities of joint action and coordination”, the Defense Ministry in Baku said.
Over 30 military aircraft, including MIG-24’s, F-16’s, Su-25’s, a C-130 Herkules jet, Mi-24 and AH-1W Super Cobra helicopter gunships are involved in the drills.
