President Ilham Aliyev visited an army base in Naxcivan during his tour of the autonomous region. He inspected weapons and military hardware, including Smerch multiple rocket systems, tanks and helicopter gunships.

Naxcivan is an Azerbaijani exclave that borders Armenia, Iran and Turkey.
