The State Oil Fund of Azerbaijan (SOFAZ) had revenue of $3.07 billion from the sale of crude oil from the Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli (ACG) block of fields in the Caspian Sea in the first five months of the year, the fund said.
Revenue from ACG was $549 million in May alone.
Between 2001 and June 1 2015, SOFAZ received $113.3 billion in revenue from ACG, it said.
ACG is being developed by a group led by BP. Partners include Azerbaijan’s SOCAR, Norway’s Statoil, Turkey’s TPAO, Japan’s Itochu, India’s ONGC Videsh and US companies Chevron and Exxon Mobil.
