A British Airways plane was forced to make an emergency landing after one of its engines caught fire, according to reports.
The Airbus 321, which was flying from the Azerbaijan capital Baku to London, took off at 9.20pm local time on Friday.
It was reportedly forced to turn back 11 minutes later.
The captain of the aircraft is said to have contacted air traffic control at Heydar Aliyev International Airport and reported an engine fire.
He requested priority landing, Azerbaijan Airlines service chief Maharram Safarli told APA.
The Airbus 321 was believed to be carrying 92 passengers and crew members.
Emergency services at the airport were scrambled but the plane was able to make a safe landing, it was reported.
There were no reports on any injuries.
A British Airways spokesperson could not be reached for comment.
