The eight-limbed baby, who has not yet been named, is believed to be the reincarnation of Hindu God Ganesha.
And thousands of devotees have flocked to see the miracle child and worship his arrival.
The child, who was born in Jharkhand, India, on Saturday, has turned the otherwise sleepy town of Dumri-Isri into a pilgrimage destination.
The birth defect – two extra arms and two extra legs – is thought to be the remains of an underdeveloped co-joined twin.
Kuntalesh Pandey travelled a whopping 115km from Hazaribagh to get a glimpse of the boy.
"When a friend first sent me a picture I wrote it off as a photoshopped but when he confirmed that it is real I came to see the baby straight away," he said.
Nurse, Sarita Devi, added: "We are taking great care of the baby."
The condition of mum, Ureda Khatun, is unknown.
But he is not the first baby to be born with multiple limbs. Another baby with four arms and four legs was born in the Indian city of Baruipar back in November.
A relative said: "When he first came out we couldn't believe it.
"The nurses said he was badly deformed but I could see that this was a sign from God.
"In fact, this is a miracle, it's God's baby."
