Baku 2015: Ones to watch - 19 June

Five highlights for Friday 19 June at the European Games:

1. Big names on the mat
Taekwondo, from 09:00
With Serbia's 2012 Olympic champion Milica Mandic, 2015 world champion Bianca Walkden of Great Britain and French 2015 world silver medallist Gwladys Epangue in action, the women's Taekwondo +67kg is shaping up to be a major battle between the sport's biggest names.

2. Big guns
Shooting, from 09:00
In the women's 50m rifle 3 positions, world champion Beate Gauss of Germany will be up against Serbia's Ivana Maksimovic and Adela Sykorova of the Czech Republic, London 2012 Olympic Games silver and bronze medallists, respectively. The men's double trap features London 2012 silver medallist Hakan Dalby of Sweden and London bronze winner, Russia's Vasily Mosin.

3. Hoops and balls and clubs and ribbons
Rhythmic Gymnastics, from 10:00
World all-around champion Yana Kudryavtseva of Russia leaps into action in the Rhythmic Gymnastics individual all-around final and apparatus qualifications at the National Gymnastics Arena on Friday.

4. Boxing clever 
Boxing, 13:15/18:45 (estimated times)
Britain's Olympic and Commonwealth champion Nicola Adams begins her bid to add a European Games gold to her medal haul at Crystal Hall 2 when she takes on Katalin Ancsin of Hungary in the women's flyweight (51kg) division. Fellow Briton Savannah Marshall, the world and Commonwealth champion at middleweight (75kg), also steps into the ring for the first time in Baku, where she squares up to Dutchwoman Nouchka Fontijn.

5. Spikey Serbia
Women's volleyball, 14:30
Serbia, who have won all three of their Pool B games so far, will face the Netherlands at 14:30 in the day’s must-watch game. Serbia are also the second-best spiking team after Azerbaijan at this stage of the competition, so expect plenty of high-octane action.
