Alvarino Garcia wins gold to close Archery

Miguel Alvarino Garcia of Spain won the men's individual gold medal on the final day of Archery competition at the Baku 2015 Games on Monday.
After an afternoon of hard-fought contests that were affected by the strongest wind of the competition, Alvarino Garcia's 7-1 defeat of Sjef van den Berg of the Netherlands was relatively straightforward.
"There is so much emotion," he said. "It's my first individual medal. When the anthem started playing, I felt really Spanish and it was really overwhelmingly emotional."
Van den Berg, who was ranked 101 in the world before the competition, said: "I feel like I've done a good job and Garcia shot really, really well."
Anton Prilepov of Belarus won the bronze medal match, defeating Poland's Slawomir Naploszek 7-3.
