(Baku Daily) - Azerbaijan's Defence Ministry has said that an Azeri soldier has been killed by Armenian troops in a cease-fire violation incident.

Pte Rustam Azizov was killed when Armenian troops violated cease-fire at 1245 local time (0845 gmt) on 20 November, the report said.

Baku and Yerevan are locked in a conflict over Azerbaijan's breakaway Nagornyy Karabakh region. Tensions between the two countries escalated once again after the Armenian helicopter gunship was shot down by Azerbaijan. This was the first such incident since the armed phase of the conflict ended in a cease-fire in 1994.
