From striking city views to glorious images of rolling countryside, these stunning images show the very best of Britain's landscapes.The beautiful pictures were submitted to this year's Landscape Photographer of the Year awards, won by Mirek Galagus whose dramatic picture of the cliffs of Beachy Head, East Sussex, was chosen as the picture that summed up the spirit and landscape of Britain in 2013.Other highlights included Adam Burton's Loughrigg Tarn in the Lake District; serene and surrounded by misty autumnal countryside, while Jim Robertson has captured the rugged loch terrain of Slioch in Scotland at dawn. Rob Wolstenholme was Highly Commended for his atmospheric view of Buckholt Wood, Gloucestershire, Away from the countryside, the cities have been captured magnificently. Neale Smith shot a vibrant Glasgow Central Station at night, while Warren Chrismas's entry saw a vision of London's St Paul's cathedral and the surrounding city after dark.A stunning coffee table book contains these and other beautiful full colour reprints of the winning and commended entries from the Landscape Photographer of the Year Awards 2013.
