President Recep Tayyip Erdogan laid the foundation for fruitful cooperation between Türkiye and Ukraine that will last for decades to come, Ukrainian political analyst Taras Berezovets said. 

According to him, the Turkish president made a great contribution to the development of relations between the two countries: "Thanks to him, cooperation in the military field between the two countries began to thrive. For example, the legendary Bayraktar UAVs were successful both during the 44-day Second Karabakh War and the war between Russia and Ukraine. Serious strikes were made against the Russian occupation forces through these UAVs.”

Berezovets noted that Erdogan helped the development of trade relations between the two countries and the implementation of various economic programs between Türkiye and Ukraine: "In general, in spite of Russia's pressures and the fact that Putin almost calls Türkiye a strategic partner, the development of relations with Ukraine is important for the Turkish President, and he has shown this by his actions. Moreover, Erdogan does not recognize Russia's illegal annexation of Ukrainian territories, including Crimea.”
