SOCAR to offer new agreement to BP-led group on ACG

Azerbaijan’s state energy company SOCAR will offer a new agreement to partners in the BP-led consortium developing the Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli (ACG) block of fields in the Caspian Sea, SOCAR said.

At a meeting with the ACG partners in SOCAR’s Baku office on Monday, the company expressed its intention to sign an agreement with the existing partners in the project that include BP, Exxon Mobil, Chevron, Statoil, Inpex, Itochu, Turkiye Petrolleri and 0ONG Videsh.

The current contract, which was signed in 1994, expires in 2024
