Azerbaijan’s main export pipeline Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) exported less Azeri crude oil in July year-on-year.

BTC delivered 2.54 million tons of Azeri oil in July, down from 2.56 million tons, according to the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR).

The pipeline shipped 17.1 million tons of Azeri oil in the first seven months of the year compared with 17.7 million tons a year earlier, SOCAR said.

It also delivered a combined 418,773 tons of Kazakh and Turkmen oil in July, SOCAR said.

BTC is operated by British oil major BP. Partners include SOCAR, Statoil, Chevron, Exxon Mobil and others.

Azerbaijan also uses the Baku-Supsa and Baku-Novorossiysk pipelines and railway to export oil.
