BTC cuts Azerbaijan oil exports last year

The Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) pipeline exported 28.5 million tons of Azerbaijani oil last year, down from 29.7 million tons the year before, SOCAR said.

BTC carried 2.46 million tons of Azerbaijani oil in December, down from 2.4 million tons a year earlier.

The pipeline also delivered a combined 644,134 tons of Turkmen and Kazakh oil in December, SOCAR said, without giving a year on year difference.

BTC, which is led by BP with a 30.1 percent stake, has a capacity of 1.2 million barrels a day.

Partners in the project also include SOCAR, Total, Statoil, TPAO, Chevron, Itochu, Eni, Inpex, ONGC Videsh and ConocoPhillips.

Azerbaijan produced 38.4 million tons of oil in the first 11 months of 2014, down from 39.5 million tons a year earlier.
