The Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) pipeline has carried 4 million tons of Turkmen oil in the first nine months of 2014, up 78.4 percent from a year earlier, Report.az says, citing Azerbaijan’s state energy company SOCAR.
BTC, led by British energy giant BP, has been exporting Turkmen oil since July 2010.
The pipeline also delivers Azeri and Kazakh crude oil to Turkey’s Mediterranean port of Ceyhan via Georgia.
Partners in the 1,768-km link include SOCAR, Chevron, Statoil, TPAO and others.
