By 2035 Russan ol export could drop by 21%

Till 2035 the basic scenario of Russia’s energy strategy envisages reduction of oil export by 21% against 2012 to 189 million tons a year, reported ITAR-TACC quoting the draft of the document.

The optimistic variant of the strategy envisages growth of the oil export by 6.2% to 254 million tons a year.

The optimistic scenario also envisages growth of gas export by 1.6 times to 360 billion cub.m.. The basic scenario envisages export growth by 1.4 times up to 301 billion cub.m. As it follows from the energy strategy, in 2012 gas export totaled 215 billion cub.m.

The basic scenario stipulates decline of oil production by 9.5% to 470 million tons a year by 2035 and the optimistic one – growth of production by 2% up to 530 million tons.

The draft of strategy was submitted to the government yesterday on March 5, 2014.
