By the decree of the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, in order to optimize the activities of the Ministry of Culture and improve the structure of this state department, all libraries under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Culture of Azerbaijan have been abolished.
As informs the press-service of the Azerbaijani head of state, in order to create a new, progressive library system covering the entire territory of the country, as well as to increase the efficiency of the activities of structures providing services in the field of culture and education (centres of culture, clubs, music schools, art galleries, etc.) a commission has been created under the chairmanship of the Head of the Department of Humanitarian Policy Issues of the Presidential Administration Farah Aliyeva.
