"The Council of Europe is following the terrible events that are taking place in Ukraine. We must all work to ensure peace, human rights, especially in Ukraine, where they are actively violated today,” she said.
She also spoke about the tragedies and human losses that occurred in Bucha, Kharkiv and other regions of Ukraine.
"The Council of Europe will continue to make every effort to protect the rights of the population of Ukraine from the aggressive policy of Russia. This is the main issue on today’s agenda. It is also important to work with civil society in Russia and Belarus,” she added.
The chairmanship in the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe following the meeting in Turin will pass from Italy to Ireland.
The meeting is attended by Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov.
