Bakhruz Akhmedov appointed military prosecutor of Azerbaijan

President Ilham Aliyev has signed a corresponding decree appointing Bakhruz Akhmedov as Deputy Prosecutor General and Military Prosecutor of Azerbaijan.
Prior to this appointment, Akhmedov served as head of the Investigation Department of the Military Prosecutor's Office.
Bakhruz Akhmedov was born in 1984 in the Neftchala district. In 2006, he graduated from the law faculty of Baku State University.
After completing military service in 2008, he joined the Prosecutor’s Office through a competitive process and held various positions. In 2018, he was appointed Military Prosecutor of Gazakh, and in 2020 — Head of the Investigation Department of the Military Prosecutor's Office of Azerbaijan.
Akhmedov played an active role in the work of the Military Prosecutor’s Office during the Second Karabakh War. He has been awarded the medals "For the Motherland," "For Courage," "For Distinction in Military Service," and "For Impeccable Service."
In October 2020, he was granted the military rank of Colonel of Justice.
As a reminder, on April 8, Khanlar Valiyev concluded his service as Military Prosecutor and Deputy Prosecutor General. He had served as Military Prosecutor since February 2005. On April 11, Khanlar Valiyev was appointed a judge of the Constitutional Court.
