Taliban delegation to attend ECO summit in Khankendi, Azerbaijan

A high-level Taliban delegation led by Abdul Ghani Baradar, Afghanistan’s Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs, has departed for Azerbaijan to attend the 17th summit of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO), Afghan broadcaster Amu TV reported. The summit is scheduled for July 3-4 in the city of Khankendi.

According to a statement from Baradar’s office, the delegation plans to hold meetings in Baku to discuss bilateral relations and economic cooperation.

The ECO is a regional intergovernmental organization aimed at fostering economic, technical, and cultural cooperation among countries of Central and South Asia, the Middle East, and the Caucasus.
