Ukraine suspects two Azerbaijanis in SBU colonel’s killing

Azerbaijani nationals Narmin Guliyeva and Khagani Gulalizade are suspected of assassinating SBU colonel Ivan Voronych in Kyiv, Ukrainian outlet Censor.net reported.
Gulalizade allegedly carried out the shooting, while Guliyeva provided operational support. Both were reportedly linked to Russian criminal networks.
Ukraine’s Security Service (SBU) said the murder was ordered by Russian intelligence services.
SBU chief Vasyl Maliuk stated the suspects were eliminated on July 13 after they resisted arrest during a special operation.
Investigators say the suspects tracked the colonel’s movements, obtained a silenced pistol from a hidden cache, and ambushed him outside his home.
They attempted to flee but were located in Kyiv Oblast and killed during the operation.
