Azerbaijan’s Aliyev opens Murovdag tunnel

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev inaugurated the 11.7-km Murovdag tunnel in Kalbajar on Thursday as part of a road project linking Toghanaly, Kalbajar and Istisu, the presidential website said.

Aliyev, accompanied by First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva, also attended the groundbreaking ceremonies for the city’s third and fourth residential complexes and laid the foundation for Kalbajar City Park.

During the trip, the president opened a shop promoting “Balland – Kalbajar honey, bees and beekeeping products,” highlighting local agricultural development.
