Azerbaijani court sentences Shohret Mammadov to 16 years for treason

 A military court in Baku has sentenced Shohret Mammadov to 16 years in prison on charges of treason, APA reported. The verdict was delivered by Judge Zaur Hajiyev.

Mammadov was detained during a State Security Service operation and charged under Article 274 of Azerbaijan’s Criminal Code (“treason”).
