15th World Climate Summit to be held parallel to COP29 in Baku

The 15th World Climate Summit, the largest event for business and public sector running parallel to COP conferences, will be held in Baku on November 17. 

The forum serves as a platform for sharing best practices in vital sectors crucial for decarbonization efforts in energy, transport, construction, industry, finance, and nature. 

The current summit will focus on significantly strengthening public-private partnerships to implement policies, innovations, and investments necessary to achieve energy transition goals by 2030, as well as creating a zero-emission world with a positive environmental impact by 2050. 

As COP29 will be a crucial link between the results of the Global Stocktake at COP28 in Dubai (the so-called UAE consensus) and the goals of the upcoming climate plan revision at COP30 in Brazil, it is essential to increase financial commitments from both public and private sectors to accelerate progress. 

The summit is expected to gather a record number of participants - more than 2,000 from over 90 countries, both in person and online, including state leaders, heads of major companies, experts, and activists. Its main theme will be accelerating actions to achieve the Paris Agreement goals and prevent catastrophic consequences of climate change.
