Danish Ambassador Anne Toft Sorensen has been summoned to the Georgian Foreign Ministry, reported from Georgian media.

The diplomat is expected at the department until the end of the day.

This was preceded by Sorensen’s publication about the latest events in Georgia, published in one of the Danish media. The diplomat called the former prime minister and founder of the ruling Georgian Dream – Democratic Georgia party Bidzina Ivanishvili an oligarch "who made his fortune in the 1990s in Russia.”

The ruling party has already called the ambassador’s statement irresponsible.
