Denmark allocates over $13M to strengthen Ukraine’s cybersecurity

Denmark has allocated 91 million kroner ($13.26 million) to strengthen the cybersecurity of the armed forces and Ukraine’s Defense Ministry, reads a statement from the press service of the Kingdom’s Ministry of Defense.

The donation was made under the auspices of an IT coalition led by Estonia and Luxembourg, which Denmark also joined.

Cyberattacks are an integral part of the war between Russia and Ukraine. The Russian Federation is trying to weaken Ukraine’s defenses through cyberattacks. In this regard, Denmark and other members of the IT coalition signed a cooperation agreement, the ministry noted.

The coalition also includes Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, the Netherlands and Ukraine itself. Earlier, Luxembourg and Estonia announced their intention to provide financial assistance.
