Denmark has decided to halt its military aid to Georgia for the next four years due to the "On Transparency of Foreign Influence” law, Georgian MP Teona Akubardia said, reported from Mtavari TV.

The MP disclosed this information based on a letter from the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Denmark initiated its military aid to Georgia in 2023, allocating a budget of 71.5 million Danish kroner (around $10.376 million).

The letter from Denmark urges the Georgian government to re-align with the Euro-Atlantic community and comply with the European Union’s reform agenda.

Akubardia mentioned that this development tarnishes Georgia’s reputation and presents a significant challenge to its sovereignty and territorial integrity.
