Denmark lifts all COVID restrictions

All restrictions introduced in connection with the pandemic in Denmark were lifted on September 9 at midnight, informs TASS.

In late August, the Danish government decided no longer to classify COVID as a ‘publicly critical disease.’ This means that the healthcare minister has no right to maintain restrictions.

Nightclubs won’t ask their guests to show their COVID passports at the entrance from September 10. Requirements to wear masks in public places or restrictions on the maximum number of participants in events and gatherings of 500 people no longer apply.

Some restrictions on entering the country remain. In addition, schools may be closed if the infection spreads.

Denmark has one of the highest rates of coronavirus immunization globally, with 73 percent of Danes aged 12 and over fully vaccinated.
