EC calls on EU to set price cap for Russian oil at $60 per barrel
01.12.2022 19:00
The European Commission has suggested that 27 EU countries accept a price cap for Russian oil at the level of $60, reported from TASS.

High-ranking representatives of the member states have already started discussing this proposal on Thursday.

Sources said that all EU member states must approve the proposed restriction, and then negotiations will continue. EU countries may also agree on a different oil price ceiling later on Thursday. Meanwhile, sources indicate that the EC representatives are exploring the possibility of introducing a price ceiling of around $60 per barrel and are convinced that they can make a deal.
