SOCAR posts slight decline in oil production in 2Q24

In the second quarter of this year, 1.875 million tons of oil were produced at the fields operated by the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) independently or as a major shareholder, reported from the drilling, production, refining and export figures for the second quarter of 2024 published by SOCAR.

This is 55,411 tons or 2.9% less than the figures for the same period last year.

In total, 7.173 million tons of crude oil were produced in Azerbaijan in the second quarter, which is 300,594 tons or 4.03% less than the figures for the same period last year.

In the second quarter of last year, 1.930 million tons of oil were produced at the fields operated by SOCAR independently or as a major shareholder, and 7.474 million tons of crude oil in the country as a whole.
