Azerbaijan sees over 5% surge in commercial gas production

Azerbaijan produced approximately 37.118 billion cubic meters of natural gas during the first nine months of 2024, reported from the country’s State Statistical Committee.

The share of commercial natural gas exceeded 28.255 billion cubic meters.

During the reporting period, natural gas production increased by 3.4%, while commodity gas production went up by 5.2%.

Over the course of nine months, almost 21.669 million tons of crude oil, including gas condensate, were produced in Azerbaijan. The share of commodity crude oil was more than 21.623 million tons.

In January-September 2024, the volumes of oil production and commodity oil dropped by 4.1%, and 4%, respectively, compared to the corresponding period in 2023.
