A SOCAR Downstream delegation met with officials from the Congolese National Petroleum Company (SNPC) and the CORAF oil refinery to discuss refinery upgrades and fuel supply projects, SOCAR said in a statement.

Talks focused on addressing Congo’s fuel demand, assessing the refinery’s condition, and developing a process model to improve productivity, efficiency, and profitability.

The initiatives fall under a project management consultancy (PMC) agreement signed on Oct. 11, 2024.

The proposed projects were presented to SNPC management and approved for implementation.
