Slovenia welcomes completion of Baku-Yerevan peace treaty text

Slovenia has welcomed the completion of negotiations between Azerbaijan and Armenia on the coordination of the peace treaty text, Slovenian Foreign Minister Tanja Fajon said on Thursday during a joint press conference in Baku with her Azerbaijani counterpart Jeyhun Bayramov.
"My visit to Azerbaijan is very timely. President Ilham Aliyev and Minister Bayramov have informed me in detail about the regional situation, particularly the peace agreement and reconstruction efforts in Karabakh. We are closely following the dialogue between the two countries," Fajon said.
She called on both sides to take the necessary steps to sign the agreement as soon as possible.
"I believe this will bring mutual benefits—not only for peace, but also for the development of trade initiatives that could help unite the region. I’ve heard about many ambitious plans for connectivity with Central Asia and Europe," she added.
Azerbaijan's Foreign Ministry announced on March 13 that Baku and Yerevan had completed negotiations on agreeing the final text of the peace treaty.
