Azerbaijan to send second banking mission to U.S. in May

The U.S.-Azerbaijan Chamber of Commerce (USACC) and the Azerbaijan Banks Association (ABA) have announced the second Azerbaijani banking mission to the United States, scheduled for May 19–23, 2025, in New York and Washington.
The focus of the visit will be “enhancing banking compliance and financial integrity” through regulatory exchange between Azerbaijan and the U.S.
According to USACC, the mission aims to strengthen cooperation between Azerbaijani banks and U.S. regulatory bodies, financial institutions, and industry experts. Financial ties between the two countries have deepened in recent years, supporting growing business and trade relations.
Azerbaijan is one of the leading South Caucasus investors in U.S. financial markets and seeks to expand its economic and financial engagement. The mission’s agenda includes professional development for compliance specialists and promoting alignment with international regulatory standards.
In 2024, the first Azerbaijani banking mission to the U.S. brought together senior executives from 11 major banks and included a joint compliance workshop with CRDF Global.
