U.S. cuts Brent crude price forecast for 2025 and 2026

The U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) has revised its Brent crude oil price forecast downward for 2025 and 2026, citing recent market trends.

According to the updated outlook, the average Brent price for 2025 is now projected at $65.85 per barrel, down from the previous estimate of $67.87. The forecast for 2026 was also lowered to $59.24, from $61.48.

The EIA said the average spot price for Brent crude in April was $68 per barrel, approximately $5 lower than in March.
