Azerbaijan sees April export surge in tomatoes and gold

Azerbaijan's non-oil exports in April 2025 showed mixed performance, with a sharp rise in gold and tomato exports and notable declines in fertilizers, polymers, and methanol, according to the country’s monthly export review.
Gold exports more than doubled from $12.9 million in April 2024 to $30.2 million. Tomato exports also rose, reaching $30.2 million from $26.1 million.
In contrast, exports of mineral and chemical nitrogen fertilizers fell sharply to $6.1 million from $15.6 million. Propylene copolymer exports dropped to $5.8 million from $10 million.
Exports of rectangular aluminum plates rose slightly to $9.4 million, while hazelnut and raw cotton exports remained relatively stable year-on-year.
