Azerbaijan aims to boost agricultural exports to Russia

Azerbaijan intends to increase its supply of agricultural products to the Russian market, Deputy Prime Minister Shahin Mustafayev said during the "Russia–Azerbaijan" panel at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, TASS reported.

Mustafayev noted that following Russia’s 2014 embargo on imports from “unfriendly” countries, Azerbaijan significantly expanded its exports to Russia and invested in enhancing its export capacity.

He added that in January–April 2025, Russia accounted for 10.78% of Azerbaijan’s foreign trade turnover, making it the country’s third-largest trading partner.
