AzerEnergy increases power output by 3.4% in first half of 2025

Azerbaijan’s state power producer AzerEnergy generated 12.32 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity in January–June 2025, a 3.4% increase compared to the same period last year, the Ministry of Energy said on Tuesday.
Of the total, 10.44 billion kWh was produced at thermal power plants, 1.85 billion kWh at hydroelectric plants, and 30.7 million kWh from solar facilities.
While thermal output slightly declined by 0.1%, hydropower generation rose 26.2% and solar output grew 0.7%.
Wind power stations under Azerishiq produced 14.6 million kWh, down 33.3%, while independent power producers generated 1.51 billion kWh, an 8.5% increase.
