Azerbaijan has supplied 83.36 billion cubic metres (bcm) of natural gas through the Trans-Anatolian Natural Gas Pipeline (TANAP) to Turkey and Europe since the pipeline’s launch, SOCAR Türkiye said on Thursday.

Of the total, 34.18 bcm was delivered to Turkey and 49.18 bcm to Europe, the company said.

Gas from Azerbaijan’s Shah Deniz field is transported to Turkey through the South Caucasus Pipeline (Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum) and TANAP. The first gas reached Turkey via the Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum line in 2007, while commercial supplies through TANAP began on June 30, 2018.
