Azerbaijan among countries with cheapest white bread

The average global price of a loaf of white bread is around 138 rubles ($1.49), according to RIA Novosti data released for World Bread Day. The most expensive bread is sold in Djibouti at 748.7 rubles ($8.05) per loaf, while the cheapest is in Algeria at just 13.8 rubles ($0.15) thanks to state subsidies.
Other countries with the most expensive bread include Bermuda ($7.28), Cayman Islands ($5.37), Monaco ($4.54) and the Bahamas ($4.45), along with Congo, the Central African Republic, Iceland, Liechtenstein and South Africa.
Among the cheapest are Tunisia ($0.17), Eswatini ($0.17), Afghanistan ($0.21), Libya ($0.24), as well as Chad, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan.
