Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Economy has updated procedures for submitting information forms on imported goods and expanded the rules governing their submission. The decision was signed by Minister Mikayil Jabbarov.

Under the revised rules, all taxpayers — except those operating in the oil and gas sector, entities in the state sector and users of the “Green Corridor” clearance system — must submit the import information form electronically. The form will be completed and sent to tax authorities through the State Tax Service’s electronic cabinet system.

The title of the decision has also been expanded to cover the “information form on goods to be imported and the procedure for its submission.”

The ministry’s Legal Department has been instructed to submit the document to the Ministry of Justice within three days for inclusion in the State Register of Legal Acts.
