Purchasing fuel from Azerbaijan is economically advantageous for Armenia, Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan stated. The announcement follows the arrival of a 22-wagon shipment of SOCAR-owned AI-95 gasoline in Armenia via Georgia, transported by Azerbaijan Railways.

The supply deal was brokered during a meeting in Gabala on November 28. Mirzoyan noted that while efforts toward cooperation signal established peace, the process of full normalization has not yet reached its conclusion. This trade follows the transit of Kazakh and Russian grain to Armenia through Azerbaijani territory in November.
