Switzerland, following the example of the European Union, has expanded its sanctions list against Russia, the Swiss government said on its official website.

The updated list includes individuals, companies and 41 vessels. Swiss authorities said the measures target entities and persons linked to the so-called “shadow fleet”.

Among the sanctioned companies are UAE-based Nova Shipmanagement LLC-FZ and Citrine Marine SPC, as well as Hung Phat Maritime Trading and SeverTransBunker Company Limited from Vietnam and Russia.

Those added to the sanctions list include Azerbaijani nationals Anar Madatli, Talat Safarov and Etibar Eyub, who are reportedly linked to the energy and trading group 2Rivers.
