Azerbaijan Oil Prices Surpass Budget Benchmark: Trading Above $71
The price of Azerbaijan's Azeri Light (CIF) crude oil surged by $3.21 (4.68%) today, reaching $71.75 per barrel. In the Turkish port of Ceyhan (FOB), the price settled at $69.62.
This sharp increase is highly favorable for Azerbaijan's economy, as the 2026 State Budget is based on a conservative oil price of $65 per barrel.
Current prices are nearly $7 above this benchmark, promising additional revenues for the national treasury.
For comparison, Brent crude is currently trading at $68.57, meaning Azeri Light continues to maintain its premium due to its low sulfur content and high yield of gasoline and diesel.
