Silver prices hit all-time high, surging past $93 per ounce
Silver prices spiked to a new historical record on Monday, surpassing the $93 per ounce mark for the first time. On the COMEX exchange in New York, silver futures jumped over 4%, reaching an intraday high of $93.48 as investors flocked to precious metals amid global trade tensions.
In Azerbaijan, the Central Bank set the official rate for silver at 156.42 AZN per ounce (5.03 AZN per gram) as of January 19, 2026. The rally is driven by a combination of safe-haven demand and tight industrial supply.
Citigroup analysts have raised their short-term target, suggesting that silver could reach $100 per ounce within the first quarter of 2026 due to its critical role in the global energy transition and current geopolitical volatility.
