Ethnic Azerbaijani became presidential candidate in Ukraine

The Central Election Commission (CEC) of Ukraine has registered two more candidates for the Presidency of Ukraine in the March 31, 2019 elections. These are Aleksandr Shevchenko and ethnic Azerbaijani Roman Nasirov, Interfax-Ukraine reports.

According to the agency, the CEC adopted the decision at a meeting on Monday.

The former Head of the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine, Roman Nasirov is running for president as a self-nominated candidate.

Extra factional MP Alexander Shevchenko is a candidate from the 'Ukrop' party, where he won the inner-party primaries.
