The European Commission has given a positive assessment for the first regular payment of close to €4.2 billion under the EU's Ukraine Facility, to support Ukraine's macro-financial stability and the functioning of its public administration.

"Today, EU Commission endorses releasing nearly €4.2 billion to Ukraine under the Ukraine Facility. Once adopted by the Council, total EU funding to Ukraine under the Facility will reach €12 billion. The EU continues to firmly support Ukraine's fight for freedom and path to the EU,” President of the EU Commission Ursula von der Leyen wrote on X.
